Chicago Conservatories OPEN Spring Flower Shows Valentine’s Day
Showcase runs through Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10
 
WHO:          Open to ALL visitors daily. Free admission. 
 
WHAT:        The Garfield Park Conservatory brings the sunrise indoors for this year’s Spring Flower Show. The show entitled ‘Golden Hour’ will celebrate the golden light of dawn and dusk with colorful displays of azalea, hydrangea, and calibrachoa. *The exhibit is open until 8 pm today. The Lincoln Park Conservatory’s Spring Flower Show ‘Renaissance,’ features plants and flowers arranged in a way to replicate the still life paintings produced during the Renaissance period.

                    Daily Hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesdays: 9 a.m.- 8 p.m.

MORE:         The Garfield Park Conservatory’s exhibit ‘Golden Hour’ will celebrate the golden light of dawn and dusk with colorful displays of azalea, hydrangea, and calibrachoa. Special features include immense hanging baskets overflowing with spring flowers, and two rope-art displays depicting the vibrant rays of the sun. On Valentine’s Day, the exhibit’s opening day, the local restaurant Inspiration Kitchens will offer a pre-fixed dinner through 8 p.m. 

Visitors are encouraged to tag @gpconservatory on Instagram and use #goldenhourgpc and #SeeAtGPC. The showcase will be on display through Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020. Admission to the Conservatory is free. 
 
The Lincoln Park Conservatory is also showcasing a wide variety of spring blooms under the Victorian glass roof of this historic greenhouse until Sunday, May 10, 2020. Lincoln Park Conservatory’s Spring Flower Show ‘Renaissance,’ will feature a spring array of plants such as tulips, dragon lilies, Persian buttercups, roses, and peonies in a rich tapestry of colors such as lavender, chocolate, pink, and scarlet. The show will also feature a soundtrack of period music.
 
The Spring Flower Show opens on Valentine’s Day, February 14th and runs through Mother’s Day, May 10th, 2020. The show is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is also free.
